| We have 250 tickets to give away for the 30th anniversary showing of Jaws on Brighton beach. The only question is: are you brave enough?
This year sees the 30th anniversary of the spine-chilling movie Jaws, and what better way to mark the occasion than by scaring the wits out of 15,000 people simultaneously? Organised by an innovative new online entertainment channel, Coolroom, the event is free (but ticketed) and open to all. No doubt there will be goose bumps all around when the first notes of that unforgettable John Williams score resound across the beach, courtesy of the full surround sound system. The screening will be preceded by live music and comedy, and is in support of WaterAid's campaign for sanitary drinking water in the Third World.
Directed by Steven Spielbeg and starring Roy Scheider as police chief Martin Brody, Robert Shaw as shark hunter Quint, Richard Dreyfuss as scientist Matt Hooper and a huge rubber shark as a killer great white shark, Jaws was one of the first Hollywood blockbusters.
